What You'll Do
- Coordinate, set up, and operate the drawing machine to draw various sizes of copper wire from feeder stock.
- Ensure the correct wire sizes and lengths are produced as specified in the production order.
- Perform quality checks and maintain a layer wound package to ensure high standards.
- Monitor and adjust machine controls to produce quality wire at specified production speeds.
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time.
- Experience in operating machinery is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO Quality System documentation.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
