Director of Communications & PR - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Communications & PR to lead our external communications strategy in a remote capacity. This role is pivotal in elevating our brand's voice within the entertainment, media, and creator economy landscapes. As the Director of Communications & PR, you will be a proactive storyteller with established press relationships and exceptional writing skills, driving influence and brand reputation.

What You'll Do

• Lead the external communications strategy, managing press opportunities and drafting high-quality communications.
• Develop and manage press outreach strategies to secure consistent, high-quality coverage across various media outlets.
• Collaborate with leadership, marketing, and talent teams to shape narratives that resonate with our audience.
• Monitor and interpret industry trends, crafting compelling narratives around the creator economy.
• Support executives with public statements, industry panels, and keynote preparation.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations.
• Established relationships with press across entertainment, lifestyle, and business media.
• Proven ability to write and edit press releases, executive communications, and pitches.
• Strong portfolio of placed press coverage and thought leadership initiatives.
• Understanding of the creator economy, talent management, and influencer marketing.

Nice to Have

• Background in entertainment, talent representation, or digital media.
• Familiarity with trade press and industry outlets such as Variety and Hollywood Reporter.
• Experience with PR management tools like Cision or Meltwater.
