About the Role
We're hiring a Digital Content Manager to join the Carolina Federation's dynamic team. This full-time Digital Content Manager remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our digital storytelling and engage our audience in meaningful ways. The ideal candidate will help us build a strong communications infrastructure that empowers our membership and drives impactful campaigns.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital content strategy that educates, engages, and inspires our audience to take action, whether it's contacting their representative, signing a petition, or casting their vote.
- Lead the creation of high-quality digital media that aligns with our organizational campaigns and programs, ensuring all content is on-message and upholds our values.
- Manage the organization's social media platforms, crafting compelling, platform-specific content (e.g., graphics, videos) for Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Monitor the political landscape and create timely content that responds to breaking news and legislative developments in North Carolina.
- Track, analyze, and report on content performance metrics to continuously refine and improve our strategy.
- Collaborate with team members on organizational communications messaging, including strategy, brainstorming, design, and copywriting.
- Assist in the creation and publication of emails, online actions, digital resources, and graphics, as needed.
- Support programmatic teams in promoting organizational programs, campaigns, and events through our digital platforms.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of professional experience managing a brand on social media, content creation, or digital communications, preferably in politics or advocacy.
- A proven track record of growing an online audience and driving measurable engagement.
- Proficient with social media platforms and management tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience using content management systems like WordPress; familiarity with Every Action preferred.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce compelling content that drives action.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Deep commitment to participatory democracy and social justice.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the North Carolina political landscape.
- Experience developing or supporting strategic issue campaigns.
- Knowledge of local and statewide politics in North Carolina.
