Development Officer - Animal Welfare Fund (Remote)

About the Role

We're hiring a Development Officer - Animal Welfare Fund (Remote) to join our dedicated team at the Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA). This role is pivotal in building and running major donor fundraising efforts for the Animal Welfare Fund (AWF). You will be responsible for developing our fundraising strategy, managing relationships with high-net-worth donors, and ensuring the systems that support these relationships are effective. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the animal welfare sector while working remotely.

What You'll Do

• Build and run major donor fundraising initiatives for the Animal Welfare Fund.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
• Manage relationships with high-net-worth donors to foster engagement and support.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure effective fundraising operations.
• Establish donor engagement infrastructure, including CRM systems.
• Draft donor-facing communications and reports to keep stakeholders informed.
• Support fundraising initiatives and manage projects effectively.
• Work closely with the Chair and other stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Experience in major gift fundraising or high-net-worth relationship management.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills.
• Comfortable with CRM systems and data management.
• Excited about strategic philanthropy for animal welfare.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
