Developer Tooling Coordinator - Remote Role at Ethereum Foundation

About the Role

We are seeking a Developer Tooling Coordinator to join the Ethereum Foundation in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will help drive strategic technical decisions that shape Ethereum's developer ecosystem. As a Developer Tooling Coordinator, you will blend hands-on development expertise with strategic planning and resource coordination. This position requires a deep understanding of Ethereum's technology stack and the ability to tackle critical strategic questions.

What You'll Do

• Drive technical decisions regarding language support and tooling priorities for Ethereum.
• Coordinate with teams to balance support for legacy projects and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries while identifying third-party resources.
• Analyze trends in AI-assisted development to enhance developer experiences.
• Engage with stakeholders across the Ethereum community to foster collaboration.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Ethereum, including smart contracts and developer tools.
• Strong opinions on the evolution of the Ethereum ecosystem.
• Experience with Solidity, Vyper, and modern client libraries such as viem and ethers.js.
• Ability to navigate between strategic discussions and deep technical dives.
• Comfortable reviewing implementations and contributing code.

• Experience managing resource allocation and leading technical initiatives.
• Proven track record of identifying emerging technology trends.
