As a Data Center Operations Engineer, you'll play a vital role in managing and enhancing Kraken's infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of security and efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on critical exchange infrastructure.
• Manage installations of complex server and network infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on facility support, including equipment installation and decommissioning.
• Oversee asset and inventory management to ensure optimal operation.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established practices and local legislation.
• Assist in bootstrapping physical infrastructure via out-of-band management networks.
• Support basic network configuration for out-of-band device access.
• Monitor and maintain all physical infrastructure, responding to critical problems to maximize service uptime.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data center operations within a highly security-focused environment.
• Experience working in a large-scale data center environment.
• Knowledge of power, cooling, and airflow management for physical devices.
• Basic understanding of IP addressing, subnets, and gateway configuration.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Physical capability to lift more than 25 kgs and willingness to travel.
• A valid passport and driving license are mandatory for this role.
