About the Role

We are seeking a Data Analytics & Engineering Lead to join our team at Anthropic. This Data Analytics & Engineering Lead remote position is pivotal in shaping our data-driven culture and enhancing our AI safety initiatives. You will work at the intersection of data engineering and recruiting analytics, building the technical foundation that powers insights about hiring, engagement, performance, and workforce planning.

What You'll Do

  • Design scalable data architectures and optimize our analytics infrastructure to transform raw recruiting data into trusted, reusable datasets.
  • Refactor and optimize existing BigQuery tables to support traditional BI tools like Looker and enable AI-driven insights across the company.
  • Conduct rigorous statistical analysis to support evidence-based decision-making for talent management initiatives.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that communicate complex data insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with recruiting leaders and executives to define and scope people analytics projects that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, preferably with a focus on recruiting analytics.
  • Expertise in BigQuery, including optimization, partitioning, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern tools like dbt and Fivetran.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business insights.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and their data structures.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
