Dailies Operator - Remote Post-Production Specialist

About the Role

Join Picture Shop as a Dailies Operator, where you will play a crucial role in our remote post-production team. This position focuses on all nightly tasks related to the dailies process, ensuring high-quality deliverables for our clients. As a Dailies Operator, you will be responsible for color correction, sound synchronization, and metadata entry, making this a vital role in our workflow.

What You'll Do

• Manage all dailies processing steps, including color correction and sound syncing.
• Create and QC all client deliverables, ensuring they meet our high standards.
• Communicate effectively with the DIT, Director of Photography, and internal teams.
• Prepare detailed reports for clients and internal stakeholders as requested.
• Adapt to production schedules and maintain flexibility in your work hours.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of picture industry technology, standards, codecs, and practices.
• Familiarity with prominent cameras and formats from ARRI, Sony, Red, and Blackmagic.
• Passion for post-production and the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in post-production and/or dailies.
• Familiarity with Colorfront Express Dailies, Colorfront On-Set Dailies, Resolve, Avid, or other post-production software.
• Experience with LTO tapes and archiving.
