Cyber Security Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at CloudBig Technology. This Cyber Security Engineer remote position offers a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, while also providing flexibility for remote work. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions that protect our infrastructure, applications, and sensitive data.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement security measures to safeguard our systems and data.
• Perform vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security threats effectively.
• Secure networks by administering firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Application Security and implementing security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Strong expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security practices, including incident response and risk management.
• Experience in Network Security, including administering firewalls, IDS, and secure network architecture.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or CISM) is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
