Crypto Video Editor and Animator (Remote)

About the Role

Token Metrics is seeking a talented Crypto Video Editor and Animator to join our remote team. In this role, you will arrange, assemble, and process recorded and stock footage into seamless, engaging videos that align with the director’s vision and project goals. Success as a Crypto Video Editor and Animator means producing dynamic, audience-appropriate content that expands our market reach and increases viewer engagement.

What You'll Do

• Create high-quality videos and short clips for various platforms including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.
• Edit film pieces to ensure smooth, invisible transitions while handling and organizing video files.
• Export videos for mobile and web distribution, ensuring compliance with journalistic standards.
• Understand production team’s needs and specifications, reviewing scripts and raw footage to create shot lists.
• Trim and sequence footage, adding music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to produce rough and final cuts.
• Consult with stakeholders throughout the editing process to implement new editing technologies and best practices.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain subscribers on the Token Metrics YouTube channel.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, with experience in digital technology and editing software.
• Strong portfolio of edited and animated videos demonstrating your creative storytelling skills.
• Familiarity with the crypto or trading industry is preferred, along with strong script writing skills for engaging video content.
• Knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity, as well as familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
• BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field.
• Self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with non-linear video editing tools such as Edius, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
• Creative storytelling skills and an understanding of digital trends and editing principles.
