About the Role
We're excited to offer a Cloud Engineering Summer Intern position at Experian, where you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in cloud security and automation. This remote internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. As a Cloud Engineering Summer Intern, you will work closely with our DevSecOps team under the guidance of the Manager of Cloud Security. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn about securing cloud infrastructure while contributing to meaningful projects.
What You'll Do
- Assist in securing cloud infrastructure and supporting automation projects.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and anomalies.
- Support the configuration and operation of basic cloud security tools such as WAF, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.
- Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify suspicious activity.
- Participate in routine security audits and compliance checks.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement secure configurations in AWS environments.
- Contribute to documentation of security procedures and incident response strategies.
- Learn and apply scripting skills (e.g., Python) to automate security tasks.
- Shadow team members during incident response exercises and sprint planning sessions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a minimum of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Must return to school in Fall 2026 to complete your degree.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and DevOps practices.

- Previous internship experience in cloud engineering or cybersecurity.
