Clinical Director - Small Animal Practice

About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Director - Small Animal Practice to lead our established veterinary clinic in Ranelagh, Dublin. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical excellence with strategic leadership in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee clinical standards and team leadership, ensuring high-quality medical and surgical care.
  • Mentor and develop veterinary and nursing colleagues, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, enhancing team performance and accountability.
  • Collaborate with operational leadership to drive sustainable growth and quality care.
  • Maintain a balanced workload, working 40 hours across 4 or 5 days with flexibility.

Requirements

  • VCI-registered Veterinary Surgeon with at least 5 years of experience in small animal practice.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in a senior or lead vet role.
  • Strong surgical background and clinical decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to balance clinical work with strategic oversight and team development.
  • Commitment to high standards of care and ethical practice.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managing a veterinary practice or clinic.
  • Additional qualifications in veterinary medicine or leadership.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives in veterinary care.
