Chief Strategy Officer - Non-Profit Hospice
About the Role
We are seeking a Chief Strategy Officer to join The Elizabeth Hospice, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those nearing the end of their journey. As the Chief Strategy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategic growth plan. This is a unique opportunity to lead initiatives that directly impact the lives of individuals and families in San Diego County and South Riverside County.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic and tactical business development plans that drive organizational growth and revenue, leveraging key performance indicators to establish measurable goals and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to define and operationalize organizational and departmental strategic objectives in alignment with the agency’s overall strategic plan.
- Serve as the primary liaison with senior leadership to ensure consistent application of E-Way customer service standards across all business lines and monitor customer satisfaction through established measurement programs.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications to align media and outreach efforts with strategic and tactical sales initiatives.
- Provide executive oversight of contract and business administration functions, including contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve programs and service delivery, developing actionable recommendations.
- Design and execute innovative clinical strategies aligned with value-based reimbursement models.
- Lead managed care strategy, risk analysis, and provider performance optimization.
- Drive population health initiatives and clinical innovation.
- Implement process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer to align operational practices with clinical policies, procedures, and medical guidelines.
- Lead the recruitment, coaching, performance management, and professional development of department staff.
- Guide the marketing director in regional liaison growth and referral management goals; monitor performance and report results to senior leadership on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure accurate tracking and analysis of regional liaison activities and performance metrics with the CRM System.
- Contribute to the development and oversight of departmental operating budgets and relevant administrative systems.
- Represent the organization through professional and community engagement activities that advance the hospice’s mission.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in communications, public health, or a related field; business and/or non-profit management with a minimum of five years of management experience.
- Hospice and/or health management experience required; RN license preferred.
- Current California driver’s license and proof of insurance preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
