Capacity Specialist - Remote Opportunity at Coolblue

About the Role

We are looking for a Capacity Specialist to join our team at Coolblue. In this remote role, you will ensure that our automated warehouse has the right capacity in the short, medium, and long term. You will translate commercial forecasts into concrete capacity plans, inflow targets, and strategic decisions regarding the workforce. This role is crucial for aligning operational realities with the growth ambitions of Coolblue.

What You'll Do

• Translate forecasts, commercial plans, and operational developments into a strategic capacity plan for the warehouse.
• Determine inflow targets for recruitment based on expected growth, outflow, productivity, and contract mix.
• Analyze data and develop models to predict and improve capacity and flexibility.
• Identify bottlenecks in capacity, workforce setup, or contract mix and work on scenarios and solutions.
• Initiate and lead projects that contribute to the right balance between required and available capacity.
• Advise on the optimal contract mix and flexibility of the workforce.
• Coordinate capacity plans with Team Forecasting, Recruitment, WFM, and Operations to ensure everyone is aligned with the same targets.
• Report periodically on capacity, risks, and developments and act as a sparring partner for operations.

Requirements

• WO work and thinking level.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of logistics processes, operational planning, and business analysis is a plus.
• Availability for 32 - 40 hours per week.
