Compliance Operations Executive - Remote Role at Aura

About the Role

We're hiring a Compliance Operations Executive to join our team at Aura, a leading FCA-regulated funeral plan provider. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to support the Head of Risk & Compliance in ensuring that our business meets its regulatory obligations. As a Compliance Operations Executive, you will play a crucial role in streamlining, automating, and improving compliance and risk processes, leveraging AI and CRM tools to enhance operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Support the Head of Risk & Compliance with business-as-usual compliance tasks, including quality assurance checks and testing of customer outcomes.
• Maintain and deliver the compliance monitoring program, including risk assessments, reporting, and incident management.
• Monitor and review customer-facing materials to ensure they meet regulatory compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes and implement automation solutions.
• Act as a primary compliance contact for business teams, ensuring regulatory requirements are integrated into new customer journeys and products.
• Promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness across the organization.
• Provide clear guidance on compliance and risk matters to business teams.
• Support the Head of Risk & Compliance with Board and committee reporting.

Requirements

• Proven working knowledge of compliance, risk, or governance operations in a UK FCA-authorized business.
• Experience in funeral plans, insurance, lending, or retail finance is essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong analytical mindset.
• FCA regulatory awareness, particularly regarding Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
• Experience with systems, workflow/CRM tools, and project management.

Nice to Have

• Experience using automation/AI in compliance operations.
• Exposure to compliance monitoring frameworks and risk management practices.
