Business & Industry Engagement Advisor - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Business & Industry Engagement Advisor to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will help shape the future of the city’s economy by connecting, influencing, and growing Adelaide’s business community. This full-time, permanent opportunity is part of the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) Team, where you will engage with the business community and other stakeholders across the city to support growth in the economy.

What You'll Do

• Implement initiatives and activities to support city businesses, enhancing economic development.
• Engage with city businesses to promote economic development initiatives, programs, and services offered by the agency.
• Curate and plan corporate engagement events and industry briefings to foster collaboration.
• Manage the Welcome to Adelaide program, ensuring a positive experience for newcomers.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve business engagement and economic outcomes.

Requirements

• Broad understanding of business needs and industry trends across multiple sectors.
• Curiosity and passion for business and economic growth.
• Experience in networking, building relationships, and identifying impactful opportunities.
• Proven ability to gather and synthesize market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
• Aptitude for event planning and project management to drive initiatives effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in public sector engagement or economic development.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to advance AEDA’s objectives.
