Banquet Manager - Remote Opportunity at Hilton

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Manager to join our team at Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, offering a unique opportunity to work remotely while managing banquet functions. As a Banquet Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the financial success of our events. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel banquet department and a strong background in hospitality, specifically in food and beverage management.

What You'll Do

• Manage the daily execution of all banquet functions, including planning, organizing, and executing various events such as breakfasts, luncheons, and cocktail receptions.
• Oversee the setup of function rooms, ensuring compliance with event specifications and conducting thorough inspections.
• Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, scheduling, and conducting evaluations.
• Recruit, interview, and train new team members to maintain high service standards.
• Communicate function specifications and changes with relevant departments, including Food and Beverage, Event Services, and Housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards during all banquet operations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel banquet department as a supervisor or manager.
• 3+ years of experience in hospitality, specifically in food and beverage management.
• Proven experience in a high-volume hotel banquet department, executing events for up to 1000 guests.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage payroll, scheduling, inventory, and labor costs effectively.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Previous experience as a banquet captain or banquet server.
