Associate, Global Policy Strategy - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate, Global Policy Strategy - Remote to join the Ethereum Foundation. This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of Global Policy Strategy across various policy, regulatory, research, and strategic initiatives. As an Associate, you will engage with diverse jurisdictions, including the US, EU, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, addressing emerging issues and driving impactful research.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a primary operational and analytical partner to the Head of Global Policy Strategy.
- Support research, strategy development, planning, tracking, and coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor global regulatory and legislative developments impacting Ethereum and decentralized technology; maintain issue trackers and strategic briefings.
- Prepare high-quality written materials (briefs, memos, summaries) for EF leadership and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Manage cross-jurisdictional projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Conduct deep-dive research in new issue areas and geographies, producing actionable insights.
- Coordinate global stakeholder engagement, including workshops and conferences.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, civil-society groups, and regional partners.
- Support the creation of readiness plans and risk assessments to navigate regulatory changes.
- Draft public educational materials and collaborate with communications partners.
- Provide operational support to keep the Global Policy Strategy function organized.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public policy, regulatory analysis, or legislative affairs.
- Exceptional written and spoken English; fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is a strong bonus.
- Strong experience in synthesizing complex information for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple high-velocity workstreams and maintain organization.
- Experience and literacy in crypto, blockchain, or Web3 required.
- Strong interpersonal skills across different cultures and sectors.
- A public-interest mindset and enthusiasm for Ethereum’s mission.
Nice to Have
- Law degree or formal legal training.
- Experience engaging with regulators or multi-stakeholder policy processes.
- Prior involvement in blockchain, open-source, or technology policy organizations.
