Aquatic Supervisor - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking an Aquatic Supervisor to join our team in a remote capacity. As an Aquatic Supervisor, you will provide strong leadership and expert guidance to staff while ensuring quality programming is delivered to patrons in a safe manner. This role is crucial for maintaining the standards set by the City of Richmond Hill and the Lifesaving Society.
What You'll Do
- Provide supervision to aquatic programs, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
- Respond to emergencies, including medical situations and pool accidents.
- Ensure high levels of customer service to promote repeat participation.
- Participate in the hiring process for part-time staff as needed.
- Conduct orientations and training sessions for effective swim instruction and safety.
- Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all programs.
- Oversee aquatic volunteers, providing ongoing feedback and training.
- Manage aquatic drop-in programs and monitor pool safety equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and relevant aquatic certifications (National Lifeguard, LSS Swim, etc.)
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with ActiveNet and SAP systems is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, with physical fitness to maintain technical certifications.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check required.
