About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Engineer to join our team at Bitso. This AI Automation Engineer remote position is crucial for accelerating our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by designing, building, and deploying AI-powered solutions that streamline internal workflows and automate repetitive tasks.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy LLM-powered tools, copilots, and AI agents that enhance developer productivity and streamline key engineering workflows.
• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI opportunities by collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, DevOps) to uncover bottlenecks and automation gaps.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure seamless adoption of AI-powered tools, provide training, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate on architecture and design decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Bitso’s engineering standards.
• Contribute to building our internal AI knowledge base and experiment with emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade services or tools.
• Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience integrating APIs and automation workflows.
• Interest in LLMs or applied AI, with a curiosity to experiment and quickly adopt new frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
