ADP Payroll Specialist - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
Prestige People Partners is actively hiring an experienced ADP Payroll Specialist for a full-time, remote role. As an ADP Payroll Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for plant leadership on day-to-day payroll matters!
What You'll Do
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Review pre-processing and post-processing reports to identify and correct errors before finalizing payroll.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure timely payroll funding and proper GL entries.
- Enter and validate changes such as new hires, terminations, rate changes, and special payments (differentials, etc.).
- Verify overtime, shift differentials, premium pay, PTO, and unpaid time in line with federal/state wage and hour rules.
- Partner with the manager to resolve discrepancies in timecards and ensure approvals are complete on schedule.
- Prepare recurring and ad-hoc payroll reports for HR, Accounting & Finance, and management (e.g., headcount, overtime, labor cost).
- Implement month-end and year-end close activities related to payroll expenses and accruals.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- More than 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume, hourly manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour regulations (e.g., overtime, meal/rest periods, shift premiums).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large data sets and reports.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and balance with deadline-based projects.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and sense of ownership over deliverables.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ADP Workforce Management (WFM) systems.
- Familiarity with payroll system updates and enhancements.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
