About the Role

Arboreal Management is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist - Remote to join our team. This role focuses on accounting tasks related to construction projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective collaboration with project teams. As an Accounting Specialist remote, you will play a crucial role in managing our growing portfolio and enhancing our operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Manage job costing and budget tracking for capital and renovation projects.
• Process subcontractor pay applications and vendor invoices efficiently.
• Reconcile project accounts and maintain month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with project managers and property teams to ensure financial accuracy.
• Utilize construction-related software or ERPs to streamline accounting processes.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in performance-based bonus calculations.
• Work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication with the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on construction or project accounting.
• Hands-on experience with construction-related software or ERPs is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers, spreadsheets, and reconciliations.
• Experience processing pay applications and managing subcontractor documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
