Remote Payroll Manager - Drive Process Improvement

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Payroll Manager to join our dynamic team at MOJO. In this role, you will ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time, while also driving process improvements in our payroll operations. As a Remote Payroll Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of payroll operations across a multi-state workforce, supporting both hourly and salaried team members.

What You'll Do

• Lead payroll operations for a multi-state workforce, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.
• Manage complex payroll components, including bonuses and commissions.
• Serve as the internal expert on Paylocity, providing guidance and support to the payroll team.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to optimize payroll systems.
• Drive process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervise and mentor payroll team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Support payroll needs related to company growth and acquisitions.
• Prepare payroll reporting and analytics to inform decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in payroll management.
• Hands-on experience with Paylocity is essential.
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and tax regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Experience administering bonus or incentive-based payroll programs.
