Accounting Associate - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounting Associate remote to join our team at GS Global Resources, a leading distributor and manufacturer of hydraulic systems and electronic control systems. This role is crucial in supporting our manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate ERP data and ensuring financial compliance.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain part records for distribution and manufacturing items in Epicor Kinetic, ensuring proper classifications and costing methods.
• Perform accurate data entry of Bills of Materials (BOMs) into the ERP system based on approved documentation from Engineering and Production.
• Assist with standard cost updates related to BOM changes and maintain part pricing in Epicor Kinetic.
• Review supplier invoice price variances and tariffs, analyzing costs associated with outgoing customer shipments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve job cost discrepancies effectively.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of accounting, cost accounting, or ERP-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Epicor Kinetic, is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and inventory transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
• Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
