About the Role

Wärtsilä is seeking a dedicated Workshop Mechanic to join our innovative team remotely. As a Workshop Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in the transformation of the marine industry towards a sustainable future. What You'll Do

• Revise, repair, rebuild, and inspect marine engine components.
• Work according to official OEM protocols, maintaining accuracy and cleanliness.
• Develop your skills by working independently or under guidance on various projects.
• Collaborate as a team player within a diverse and inclusive group of technical professionals.
• Assess and measure components in the workshop.
• Dismantle, inspect, assemble, and measure engine parts.
• Resolve deviations in collaboration with the workshop foreman and team leader.
• Adhere to strict quality and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• A vocational education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Technical knowledge and experience with mechanical assembly.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions.
• Familiarity with repair procedures.
• Fluency in Dutch and good command of English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the marine industry.
