About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Woodyard Loader Operator to join our team at Lignetics. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for operating loaders and ensuring the efficient handling of raw materials. As a Woodyard Loader Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that materials are mixed and processed according to specifications.

What You'll Do

  • Operate loaders to mix and intake raw materials, ensuring proper blend and moisture content.
  • Receive incoming loads of raw materials, separating them by species and inspecting their quality.
  • Load infeed bins according to production schedule requirements.
  • Conduct loader inspections and perform necessary maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers regarding workflow status and any issues that arise.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform additional accountabilities as required by plant leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of loader operation experience in an industrial setting preferred.
  • Strong eye, hand, and foot coordination.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods and multitask effectively.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs repetitively.
  • Comfortable with climbing stairs and working in confined spaces.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for conducting loader maintenance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in loader operation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when needed.
