Vice President of Engineering - mRNA Manufacturing Technologies

About the Role

We are seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the transformation of mRNA manufacturing technologies at RiboPro. This VP of Engineering remote position offers a unique opportunity to architect groundbreaking systems that will redefine how medicines are produced.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the engineering team in the design and development of the RiboFlux continuous-flow mRNA manufacturing system.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 10-12 engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to define the international growth strategy and scaling roadmap.
  • Act as the technical liaison with external partners, translating complex engineering concepts into commercial solutions.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance for all hardware developments, ensuring adherence to international safety standards.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a commercial biotech, healthcare, or med-tech environment.
  • Proven track record in designing novel hardware architecture.
  • Prior exposure to regulatory pathways (CE, FDA, ISO) for medical device development.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment, preferably with Series A funding.

  • Experience with mechatronics in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
