About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Transitional Kindergarten Teacher for a remote opportunity with the Catholic Diocese of San Diego. As a Transitional Kindergarten Teacher, you will create a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters growth and learning.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Common Core and California State standards.
• Establish a positive classroom culture and maintain effective classroom management to maximize instructional time.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Regularly collect and analyze data to inform and adjust instruction effectively.
• Utilize technology to enhance learning goals and increase student engagement.
• Evaluate students' academic and social growth, maintain appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share best practices.

Requirements

• Active, practicing Roman Catholic (preferred).
• Possess a cleared California multiple or single subject teaching credential (preferred).
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Clear criminal background check (a clear Livescan for the Diocese of San Diego is a condition of employment).
• Experience teaching in an elementary school classroom.
• Positive professional references and recommendations.

Nice to Have

• Basic Catechetical Certification (preferred).
