Tooling Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Tooling Manager remote to lead tooling operations for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. This role offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment focused on growth and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Direct and coordinate activities for tool design, development, manufacturing, and maintenance.
• Oversee the design and manufacture of gauges and fixtures to ensure they meet customer expectations and production requirements.
• Serve as a member of management, maintaining SAP and managing tooling KPIs.
• Analyze tooling costs, downtime, and capacity to improve efficiency.
• Implement quality, safety, and environmental standards across all operations.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational performance initiatives.

Requirements

• Technical degree or certification in Tool and Die or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of directly related Tool and Die experience.
• At least 5 years managing tooling personnel.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP or equivalent systems strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, CAD for die design, blueprint reading, CNC machine functions, CMM lab layouts, and blue/white light scanning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative management style.
• Proven experience driving continuous improvement and operational performance.
