System Engineer - Electrical Design for Custom Machinery (Remote)

About the Role

Join PERI as a System Engineer specializing in electrical design for custom machinery. This remote System Engineer position allows you to be the architect of our electrical systems, ensuring that our prototypes operate safely and efficiently worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design the overall electrical architecture, managing energy flow and integrating electrical machines and drives.
• Select components while adhering to EMC guidelines and create complex functional concepts for innovative custom machinery.
• Implement machine directives and functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849) with your expertise.
• Support the entire creation process, from clarifying customer requirements to drafting acceptance guidelines.
• Assist the assembly team in optimizing system stability and analyze system behavior on-site during commissioning.

Requirements

• A completed degree or technical training in electrical engineering, vehicle electronics, mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the electrification of machines or vehicles, with a strong understanding of power electronics and drive technology.
• Proficiency in design software like EPLAN or Zuken and a knack for systematic development processes.
• Deep knowledge in system design, calculation, and component selection for electrical systems.
• Fluent English communication skills for collaboration in an international environment and a solution-oriented, hands-on mentality.
