About the Role

Join Auckland Council as a Sustainability and Resilience Advisor in a remote capacity, contributing to vital climate action initiatives. This role is pivotal in implementing our climate goals and Te Tāruke-ā-Tāwhiri: Auckland’s Climate Plan.

What You'll Do

  • Produce evidence-based analysis and advice to drive climate action.
  • Engage and influence stakeholders to accelerate climate initiatives.
  • Collaborate on climate mitigation and adaptation projects.
  • Conduct greenhouse gas emissions reporting and data analysis.
  • Organize change programs and engagement processes effectively.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in advisory roles related to sustainability and climate resilience.
  • Strong data analysis skills, particularly in MS Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience in large, complex organizations, ideally within political environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational greenhouse gas accounting experience is highly desirable.
