Support Engineer - Remote Position at n8n
About the Role
We are seeking a Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at n8n. This remote Support Engineer position will allow you to leverage your technical expertise to enhance customer experiences across our innovative AI orchestration platform. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Product Support and Engineering, ensuring that complex issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
What You'll Do
- Manage escalations from Product Support, providing advanced technical assistance to resolve complex issues.
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve technical challenges within the n8n ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Support to address issues impacting high-value accounts.
- Document troubleshooting steps and create internal playbooks for recurring escalations.
- Improve knowledge bases and empower Tier 1 Support with enhanced documentation.
- Serve as a technical mentor to Product Support Engineers when necessary.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical support, solutions engineering, or similar roles.
- Hands-on experience building and debugging n8n workflows in production environments.
- Comfortable debugging APIs, webhooks, authentication, and data flows.
- Familiar with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and possess basic Linux troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes for deploying and debugging automation environments.
- Understanding of networking basics (DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS) and PostgreSQL troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
Nice to Have
- Experience with workflow automation platforms like Zapier, Make, or Airflow.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Sentry.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols like OAuth2, OIDC, or JWT flows.
