About the Role
We are excited to announce a Summer Intern, Photography & Videography - Remote position at the Port Authority Trans-Hudson. This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring photographers and videographers to capture the essence of the Port Authority's activities while working remotely. As a Summer Intern, you will engage in creative projects that will enhance your portfolio and provide valuable experience in the field.
What You'll Do
- Assist in organizing photo and video shoots, ensuring all logistics are in place for successful execution.
- Capture high-quality images and videos that reflect the Port Authority's mission and activities.
- Edit photo and video assets to create compelling visual content for various platforms.
- Manage and archive digital files, ensuring easy access and organization for future use.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts for projects.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance the visual storytelling of the Port Authority.
- Learn about project management tools and techniques to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
- Engage with Employee Business Resource Groups and participate in facility tours and career panels.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program related to Photography, Visual Arts, or a similar field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and technical skills in photography and videography.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
- Good eye for composition, design, and storytelling through visual media.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Interest in public service and transportation, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Availability for a full-time internship lasting approximately 12 weeks.
- Ability to work remotely up to one day per week.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with project management tools to assist in organizing tasks and deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar internship or role is a plus.
