Summer Intern - Ground Transportation Management (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Summer Intern for Ground Transportation Management to join our dynamic Aviation Ground Transportation team remotely. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in airport commercial management and business process improvement while working with diverse stakeholders in the transportation sector.

What You'll Do

• Support ongoing and emerging initiatives related to taxi and for-hire vehicle (FHV) operations.
• Assist with data collection and organization for ground transportation permittees.
• Conduct research and benchmarking of taxi, FHV, and transportation network company (TNC) policies.
• Analyze ground transportation activity trends to inform decision-making.
• Optimize the Virtual Taxi Dispatch mobile application for improved user experience.
• Assist with the collection of For-Hire Vehicle documentation.
• Perform varied assignments to support ground transportation initiatives.
• Engage in project management tasks ensuring timely reporting and execution.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship.
• Strong interest in airport commercial management and business process improvement.
• Efficient project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent business writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Familiarity with financial terminology and basic accounting principles.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in transportation or related fields.
• Knowledge of the aviation industry and ground transportation policies.
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
