We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Operations Tech to join our dynamic team at Fanatics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in transforming the trading card industry. What You'll Do

  • Act as a technical leader for multiple functional pods, including Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Manufacturing.
  • Provide technical guidance, architectural direction, and hands-on assistance to engineers across various pods.
  • Write production code and implement key parts of the system, focusing on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Guide projects from planning through delivery, collaborating closely with product management to define scope and approach.
  • Review designs and code, ensuring successful project delivery while improving overall team effectiveness.
  • Contribute to strengthening on-call and production support practices, enhancing the developer experience.
  • Enable the thoughtful adoption of new tools and capabilities, including AI-powered development tools.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing software for supply chain, logistics, or industrial manufacturing in mid-sized to large businesses.
  • Proven track record as a technical lead for large multi-month initiatives.
  • Experience with event-based systems leveraging event-sourcing is a significant plus.
  • Strong background in integrating AI-assisted tools into development workflows.
  • Familiarity with languages such as Elixir, Phoenix, Typescript, Ruby, or Python is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a focus on making other engineers more productive.
