About the Role
GitLab is hiring a full-time Staff Product Designer, Knowledge Graph to join our innovative team. This Staff Product Designer remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home in the USA, Canada, or Europe. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Knowledge Graph product, enhancing user experience and driving engagement.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design process for the Knowledge Graph product, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and iterate on design concepts.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with our product vision.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall growth of the design team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Knowledge Graphs or semantic web technologies.
- Experience in B2B SaaS products.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for better collaboration with developers.
