Squad Lead - Java Developer (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Squad Lead - Java Developer (Remote) to join our innovative team at Mirakl. As a Squad Lead, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our cutting-edge products, driving the success of our marketplace solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while leading a talented team of developers.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of 4 to 5 developers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings, mid-year and year-end reviews to track career development and training needs.
• Take ownership of development stories, conducting code reviews and ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java applications, utilizing your strong technical skills.
• Coordinate with product and design teams to manage user stories and project priorities.
• Ensure the team meets commitments in terms of velocity and quality, addressing any blockers as they arise.
• Establish best practices in clean code, testing, releases, and pair programming.
• Contribute actively to recruitment efforts to build a strong team.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of recent versions.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role, demonstrating effective communication and management skills.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, SQL, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience in coding and a passion for contributing technically to projects.
• Professional proficiency in English (C1 level).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in software development.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks.
