About the Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Manager to join our team remotely. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team on our Customer Data Platform (CDP) and play a vital part in delivering functionality that supports Constant Contact’s major initiatives. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability while empowering your team to achieve their career goals.
What You'll Do
- Manage complex technical projects and teams focused on data-driven solutions.
- Drive Agile principles and ensure a high-performing team.
- Hire, mentor, and grow passionate individuals who thrive in strong teams.
- Lead and motivate top-tier software engineers, earning their respect through your expertise.
- Collaborate closely with your team’s Product Owner to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience with at least 3 years leading software teams in a data-driven environment.
- Experience with SaaS product development and a proven track record of scaling large systems.
- Proficiency in technologies including Java, Go, React, AWS, CI/CD, MySQL, and Apache Flink.
- Experience with real-time data streaming and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Kubernetes and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with customer segmentation and automated customer journeys.
- Understanding of the marketing landscape and how data impacts business decisions.
