Social Media Marketing Specialist - Remote Position
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping and amplifying a mission-driven digital presence across multiple social platforms. As a Social Media Marketing Specialist remote, you will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing online communities, and executing impactful social media campaigns that drive awareness and engagement.
What You'll Do
- Plan, manage, and maintain social media content calendars while defining and tracking key performance indicators.
- Create, curate, schedule, and publish high-quality content across multiple social platforms.
- Monitor social channels daily, respond to comments and messages, and actively foster a positive and engaged online community.
- Plan and execute paid social media advertising campaigns, including budget management and optimization.
- Track performance metrics, analyze results, and report on campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
- Ensure all content and interactions align with brand voice, values, and visual identity.
- Stay up to date with platform algorithms, emerging trends, and best practices to maintain relevance and impact.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in social media marketing or social media management.
- Strong experience creating social media copy, visuals, and managing paid social advertising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote work environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience working with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and values-driven work.
Nice to Have
- Experience with analytics tools to measure social media performance.
- Familiarity with graphic design software like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for social media.
