Site Trainer - Health & Safety Focus (Remote)

About the Role

Welcome to Hovis! We are excited to announce an opening for a Site Trainer to join our team remotely. As a Site Trainer, you will play a crucial role in planning, delivering, and developing Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Technical Compliance training programs across our site. This position is vital for enhancing team capabilities and improving overall site performance.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver engaging classroom and on-site compliance training (HSE, Food Safety, Technical).
• Work closely with department leaders to identify training needs and develop structured training plans.
• Manage and maintain the site training matrix, ensuring gaps are identified and addressed.
• Coordinate internal and external training courses and act as the site contact for training providers.
• Deliver site inductions and support on-the-job trainers across departments.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits and promote a strong health & safety and food safety culture.
• Provide Train-the-Trainer support for shop floor trainers.

Requirements

• Experience in a Training Coordinator / Trainer / Learning & Development role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training programs.
• Experience designing and delivering training in a workplace environment.
• Knowledge of learning management systems and modern training methods.
• Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to deliver (or work towards delivering) Level 2 & 3 training in Health & Safety, Food Safety, and HACCP.

Nice to Have

• Training qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Training Skills).
• Experience in food manufacturing or lean manufacturing environments.
• Experience working with diverse teams.
