Service Technician - Automotive Specialist (Remote Opportunity)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician remote to join our team at Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco. With over 60 years in the automotive industry, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service and luxury vehicles to the Bay Area. As a Service Technician remote, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

What You'll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs accurately, utilizing workshop manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Document all steps taken to diagnose and repair vehicles on repair orders.
• Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order accurately.
• Conduct road tests of vehicles when required, documenting results and mileage.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians and service advisors to ensure timely and quality service.

Requirements

• Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an Associate degree from a community college.
• Relevant certifications, including Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
• At least 1-3 years of experience working with European vehicles.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Acceptance by the dealership's Insurance Company as required.
