Senior UX Design Consultant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Hippo is seeking a Senior UX Design Consultant to join our team. This Senior UX Design Consultant remote position allows you to leverage your expertise in user-centered design and Agile methodologies to make a significant impact on our clients' services. You will work collaboratively with user researchers to ensure that users can accomplish their tasks efficiently and effectively.

What You'll Do

• Advise clients on solving complex problems using UX design and people-centered design approaches.
• Lead multidisciplinary Agile teams to design services that meet identified user needs.
• Advocate for inclusive design approaches within UX design.
• Build supportive relationships with clients and stakeholders while managing challenging conversations.
• Oversee the line management of interaction designers and mentor other UX designers.
• Support recruitment, events, and business development efforts.
• Promote Hippo’s people-centered design offerings both internally and externally.

Requirements

• Advanced UX design skills with experience in diverse environments.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams to deliver people-centered services.
• Proven ability to design for diverse users, including those with accessibility needs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in line management or mentoring other UX designers.
• Strong consultancy and leadership skills with confidence in exploring problem spaces with clients.

Nice to Have

• Experience with various UX design tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of service design approaches.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks beyond UX design.
