About the Role

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and maintain the end-to-end INT – UQKD System Architecture, ensuring best practices in design and engineering.
  • Lead the design of complex telecom systems, focusing on interface definitions and security aspects.
  • Maintain a holistic view of the system, ensuring successful integration of all subsystems.
  • Coordinate with partners to integrate space and ground segment subsystems effectively.
  • Lead local engineering project teams to ensure efficient collaboration and high-quality system delivery.
  • Provide guidance in system design, development, and verification processes.
  • Offer senior guidance to technical teams involved in similar projects.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Information Technology Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably in an international environment.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering documentation and lifecycle documentation management.
  • Demonstrated experience in aerospace or defense environments managing complex systems.
  • Team leadership experience and ability to coordinate external teams.
  • Willingness to undergo the security clearance process.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience in the space domain, particularly with ESA projects.
  • Knowledge of Secure Software Development Life Cycle practices.
  • Possession of NATO and/or EU security clearances.
