Senior Software Engineer II - MRX Audience (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II - MRX Audience to join our innovative team at SurveyMonkey. This Senior Software Engineer II - MRX Audience remote position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a hybrid environment, where you will contribute to the development of large-scale web applications and advanced analytics solutions.

What You'll Do

• Own the architecture of new and existing MRX Audience systems/components/products to drive business results.
• Develop solutions and build flexible systems that balance engineering complexity and timely delivery, creating significant business impact.
• Mentor and coach a team of talented engineers, driving code and design reviews of systems/components in scope.
• Deeply understand our high-scale microservices, cloud technologies, and continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications in production, identifying bottlenecks and proposing long-term solutions and optimizations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering leaders to define mid-term and long-term roadmaps.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software product development.
• Experience in designing systems from prototypes and successfully architecting technical solutions for consumer-facing products.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and running high-performance, large-scale systems based on microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure, and experience with large-scale databases and message queues.
• Strong programming skills in an object-oriented language (Python preferred) with expertise in multi-threading and performance-oriented programming.
• Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals and object-oriented concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both co-located and remote engineers.
