Senior Software Engineer - Authentication (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Authentication to join our team at Pindrop, a leader in redefining trust in the digital age. As a Senior Software Engineer working remotely, you will play a crucial role in developing our voice and video authentication technologies that protect major financial institutions and healthcare providers. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that combat AI-driven threats, ensuring that the right human is recognized in every interaction.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement model training and inference workflows with clear versioning and promotion criteria.
• Build and operate high-performance services and APIs that ensure reliable, secure, and fast authentication at scale.
• Define automated quality gates for service changes and releases, ensuring data quality and adherence to contracts.
• Lead incident response for your services, restoring service quickly and communicating effectively during events.
• Drive reliability improvements through SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, making trade-offs explicit.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of software development experience, particularly in designing and implementing highly scalable cloud-based APIs.
• Experience with multiple programming languages, such as Python and Go.
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Experience building and operating real-time distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline management using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with voice authentication, fraud detection, or deepfake detection.
• Experience with production ML systems and MLOps.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
