Senior Revenue Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Revenue Manager to join our team at Azenta. This remote Senior Revenue Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our global SMS revenue team and apply your expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with US GAAP while driving continuous improvement in our revenue processes.

What You'll Do

• Lead the application of ASC 606 for Azenta’s key material transactions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the global SMS revenue team.
• Determine relative selling price/SSP allocations for complex multiple element arrangements.
• Review contracts and new offerings to identify multiple performance obligations.
• Generate and post revenue-related journal entries.
• Understand and apply appropriate percentage of completion accounting.
• Provide guidance on revenue recognition and accounting matters.
• Work directly with business partners to resolve revenue recognition issues.
• Analyze critical data and provide key metrics and summary reporting.
• Perform and review key SOX controls, maintaining documentation and follow-up as needed.
• Be a key member of the monthly financial close team, providing timely revenue accounting guidance.
• Compile and review entity-level data for SEC filing and other critical reporting.
• Provide audit support for areas requiring estimates and judgment.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational gaps and implementing effective solutions.

Requirements

• Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CPA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven background in revenue recognition experience applying ASC 606 standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with a listed public company or top accountancy firm is a plus.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience with Oracle, Tableau, and other data analytic software is a plus.
• Experience with Revenue Recognition Software is a plus.
