Senior Railway Safety Assessor - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Railway Safety Assessor to join its team, focusing on independent safety assessment and EC Certification activities within the railway environment. This Senior Railway Safety Assessor remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of safety and operational efficiency in rail transport.

What You'll Do

• Perform independent safety assessments and EC Certification activities for railway signalling systems.
• Engage in executing essential tasks as part of Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) teams.
• Contribute to the European Certification process in line with TSI-CCS 2023/1695/EU standards.
• Conduct thorough testing of trackside and onboard signalling products for various projects.
• Prepare and execute detailed assessment reports that align with industry standards.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Computer Science.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in assessments, validation processes, and audits within the railway sector.
• Extensive knowledge of railway regulations, standards, and certification processes (UIC, ERA, EN standards).
• High proficiency in report writing and the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.

Nice to Have

• Experience with safety management systems (SMS) and quality assurance practices.
• Knowledge of risk management and compliance assessments in railway operations.
• A Type B Driving License for travel to project sites.
