Senior Project Engineer - Oil & Gas (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Oil & Gas sector. This Senior Project Engineer remote position requires a deep understanding of SSHE & Risk processes, procurement, and contracting processes, supporting project management teams with project control requirements such as schedule and cost control reporting and analysis.
What You'll Do
- Oversee SSHE & Risk processes, ensuring compliance with Oil and Gas safety, security, health, and environmental requirements.
- Manage procurement and contracting processes, including familiarity with EPC tender documentation and evaluation.
- Coordinate and support interfaces and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project delivery.
- Demonstrate expertise in EPC contract management, including scopes of work, schedules of compensation, and milestone payments.
- Utilize engineering software and tools such as Orcaflex and FEA packages for project assessments.
- Support senior management with stakeholder engagements, particularly with JV partners or Petronas.
- Facilitate follow-on engineering by coordinating external third-party engineering teams.
- Travel internationally and provide offshore support as required by project needs.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Engineering or relevant degree/diploma with recognized experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry or a similar role.
- Strong project management, project support, planning, and cost control skills.
- Proficiency in Primavera and MS Project scheduling software.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Current passport holder with no impediments to international travel.
Nice to Have
- Experience with deepwater flowline/riser systems and subsea umbilical and controls systems.
- Familiarity with QA/QC requirements for fabrication.
- Experience in offshore project execution and mobilization.
