Senior Product Designer - AI-Powered Communications

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our team at Dialpad, a leading AI-powered customer communications platform. This Senior Product Designer role offers the opportunity to shape the future of AI-driven business communications while working remotely or in our London office. As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and impactful user experiences that leverage AI technology.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex, high-impact product initiatives from discovery to release, ensuring that each design decision aligns with user needs and business goals.
• Ship regularly—prioritizing real-world impact over pixel-perfect mockups, focusing on delivering AI-powered features that enhance user experience.
• Design workflows that are intuitive, trustworthy, and valuable, while working alongside engineers to refine implementation details and ensure high-quality execution.
• Create prototypes and test workflows, interactions, and edge cases using necessary tools to validate design concepts.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals to deliver measurable outcomes, strengthening and evolving Dialpad's design system.
• Identify new opportunities where AI and automation can create meaningful value for customers, mentoring other designers to elevate the craft and quality of the team's output.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, thoughtful design work.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and lead complex projects independently, thinking in systems to design cohesive end-to-end experiences.
• Comfortable working with front-end code and collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation.
• Experience designing AI-native products, conversational interfaces, or automation workflows, with a strong understanding of communication technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively across disciplines, including with leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience with experimentation frameworks and data-informed iteration, contributing to the broader design community through writing, speaking, or mentoring.
• Familiarity with building SaaS or enterprise collaboration platforms, and having helped evolve or scale a design system.
