Senior Paralegal - Personal Injury Litigation (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Paralegal - Personal Injury Litigation (Remote) to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will support personal injury litigation cases, ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and efficiently. As a Senior Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of personal injury law, contributing to their cases from the comfort of your home.

What You'll Do

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing and managing case files.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and provide insights into relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage communication with clients, witnesses, and experts, ensuring timely updates and information flow.
• Utilize legal software such as Clio Manage and Filevine to maintain case management systems and track case progress.
• Support the litigation team by coordinating schedules, managing deadlines, and ensuring all necessary documentation is filed appropriately.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry and maintaining organized records.
• Stay updated on changes in personal injury law and legal procedures to enhance the team's effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in personal injury litigation.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
• Proficiency in legal software, including MS Word, Clio Manage, and Filevine.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and legal professionals.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Illinois civil litigation processes is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ETL processes and SQL for data management.
• Background in customer service or administrative support roles.
• Knowledge of compliance and regulations in personal injury law.
